All over Uttarakhand, families have built beautiful homestays — then handed them to brokers and big websites that turn them into three photos and a price. Aangan is here to change that: to let a good place be seen as it really is.
Aangan is part of INUK — a movement to bring Uttarakhand online: its people, its places, its stories, its products and its services. For too long the hills have earned the world’s love but not its attention. A traveller can find a city café in seconds, while a family homestay that has poured out its heart for years stays invisible.
It began with a homestay of our own — Kunja Village. Running it, we saw the truth up close: a good place, unseen online, simply doesn’t get its due. If it could happen to us, it was happening to thousands across Uttarakhand. Aangan is our answer — and the first of many ways INUK helps the hills be seen, be booked, and earn a good living at home, so fewer people ever have to leave.
We’re not just a company — we’ve stood where you stand, and we know how it feels to go unseen.
Our own tech, made in Uttarakhand — not a faraway app that doesn’t understand a pahadi home.
Aangan is part of INUK — so your homestay also gets found through our network.
Three words we hold ourselves to — for every homestay, every time.
We show your homestay as it truly is — honest photos of your rooms, your food, your view. No fakery, no filters that lie. Your place, at its real best.
We tell your story in your own voice — why you started, the family behind the food, what makes your corner of the hills yours. People book a feeling, not a room.
We build the trust that wins the booking — reviews, a real presence, a page a guest believes. And a promise kept: your guests are yours, your money reaches you, no commission, ever.
