Team playbook · internal

The Aangan playbook.

Read this before you meet a customer — the building metaphor, every word, every feature, payments, pricing, and how to pitch.

3 · Every feature

What it does, and how it helps.

Never sell a feature. Sell what it does for the owner. Lead with the “helps” line.

The Aangan storefront

Does: A beautiful, mobile-first page with their photos, story, rooms and a clear "enquire/book" button, on their own link.

Helps: They finally look the part. No one dismisses them at a glance, and they can share one link everywhere.

Their story, written for them

Does: We interview the owner and write their story in their own voice.

Helps: It gives a traveller a reason to choose them — a place with a soul, not a flat listing.

Photos, video, reels & drone

Does: Our creators shoot the homestay professionally (Virāsat); on Kahānī we curate and enhance theirs.

Helps: Great images ARE the proof. This is what convinces the second search.

SEO + Google Business Profile

Does: We set up and optimise their Google profile and the site’s SEO.

Helps: They get FOUND on Google — something they could never do themselves.

AI-readiness

Does: We bake in structured data so AI assistants can understand and recommend them.

Helps: Future-proofs them for when travellers ask an AI where to stay.

Bookings & enquiry inbox

Does: Direct enquiries and bookings land in one simple place.

Helps: Nothing slips, and the guest relationship is theirs — not a middleman’s.

Online payments

Does: UPI/cards, advance at booking, money to their own bank.

Helps: They get paid before the guest arrives, and stop losing rooms to no-shows.

Reviews collection

Does: We help them ask happy guests for Google reviews.

Helps: More stars = more trust = more bookings on the second search.

INUK network listing

Does: Their Aangan is featured across the INUK travel network.

Helps: We send them footfall, not just tools — travellers discover them.

Monthly plans

Does: Ongoing SEO, fresh content, social and campaigns (Care/Grow/Managed).

Helps: Keeps them ranking and fresh — a presence that keeps working, not one that goes stale.

Seasonal refresh

Does: We update the site and offers each season (Virāsat).

Helps: Fills quiet weeks and keeps the place feeling current.
